Checkbook Cover Give A Ways

I decided that I wanted to make the ITH (in the hoop) quilted checkbook covers, but needed to practice some, so that was one of my recent give a ways. Along with the checkbook covers, I made some ITH keyrings also.


This was a fun project and it's so quick and easy, you can make a ton of these real fast once you get the hang of it.

One of my favorite embroidery design ladies came up with some new Bag Tag designs! I had them for a while before I actually had time to get into the create mode. I of course had to do a give a way on the Facebook fan page for Everything Abigail. These are some of the tags that were made and given away!

Easter Bunnies.. WTH was I thinking!!!

For the last two years I have priced rabbits here locally... well this year my mom and Grannie found rabbits at the feed store in Louisiana.. with that being said.. we are now the proud owners of not just one rabbit... but THREE! Actually, we have four right now, but one is for Drew.. my grandson. He will be getting his cute little bunny on Friday when they come over for me to take Melanie and a few other soldiers to Harwin to shop for formal gowns for the military ball they are going to attend.




Anywho.. so we have all of these rabbits.. now they need a home.. a home that they can move around in.. entertain etc.. SO.. we went to Target and bought these fantastic little cubes for organizing your home.. they were 16.00 a box.. we bought two boxes, plus we had some already here that I had used as a display for the Mayhaw Festival one year.



We are now the proud sponsors of the "Playboy Bunny Penthouse" This thing has a hammock bed in the very top floor, ramps, and landing spots along the way up the climb! We were up until after 1am building this monster of a bunny cage. On really pretty days, the bunnies go spend the day outside in the monster of a cage so that they can enjoy everything outside. They spend their nights in the house, or if we are gone for a bit or if it's just too dang hot outside.



So we read where you can liter train your bunnies.. this is a picture of "Tit-bit" in the liter box.. We also learned pretty quick that the bigger squares on the penthouse were allowing them to escape! Loyal and Mr. Jinx didn't know what to think about rabbits on the loose. Loyal has now discovered that he enjoys a good game of chase.

Sorbetto Italian Ice

                        I came across the most amazing stuff in the freezer section at the signature Kroger not too far from us! This stuff makes you want to sit and eat the entire container and you don't want to stop! Sorbetto Italian Ice... the lemon flavor causes serious heartburn.. the black cherry flavor isn't too bad as long as you don't mind the skins.. and there is a LOT of skins in that container!

The strawberry is our favorite flavor so far. This stuff is amazing.. however, my hands were freezing because I would just eat from the container while watching American Idol.. I tried wrapping a paper towel around the container, but that didn't work either.. so I created the pint size ice cream wrap. It is insulated to help protect your hands from being frozen while you are still able to enjoy your yummy treat!

                                                                                                  

Peanut Brittle

I decided that I needed to try my hand at candy making today.  I grew up in a little town where on certain days you knew it was time for the local Penecostal church to make the most fantastic peanut brittle.  Our long time family friend made it every time and then would bring by fresh candy for Grannie Shirley to purchase.  I would always eat around the nuts and I remember that being the best brittle ever.  Well, it's easier to buy that bag of brittle than make it!  It did taste okay, just not as good as I remember it when I was growing up.
